Covid-19 Policy

Roameo aims to create outdoor experiences that allow COVID-19 safe travel options in the wide-open outdoors with private Travel Suite accommodations.


Guests, staff, and partner organizations are expected to be familiar with and follow guidelines and guidance provided by state and local authorities to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Guests should reduce risk of exposure prior to departing with Roameo. It is critical that you monitor yourself for any symptoms of COVID-19 and inform Roameo staff of any concerns prior to picking up your Travel Suite. Roameo itineraries are made to take you off the beaten path, this means that access to care may be limited in some areas.

  • Inform us if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have recently tested positive for COVID-19 or have recently come in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Per local mandates, guests are expected to wear face coverings while traveling and while around others. Guests should supply their own appropriately fitting coverings.
  • Whenever possible, guests should maintain safe physical distance or at least six feet from Roameo staff and partner staff.
  • Guests are expected to maintain proper hygiene practices leading up to and for the duration of their trip, this includes but is not limited to regular handwashing. Guests are encouraged to reduce or eliminated sharing amongst others as well.
  • Parents are responsible for ensuring children adhere to all above provided guidelines including state and local mandates and CDC recommendations.
  • If symptoms arise during your trip with Roameo, isolate yourself to the fullest extent possible, seek testing, and contact Roameo staff.


All high-touch surfaces are disinfected after each customer use, this includes all surfaces, handles, storage, steering wheels, switches, buttons etc. All bedding is washed between each use and all mattresses are covered in mattress covers for your protection. Gear and other provided items are also wiped down and/or aired out. Travel Suites are aired out and left unoccupied for a period prior to the next rental. Our cleaning teams wear masks for the duration of all cleaning.


Roameo has taken measures to reduce contact for the safety of guests and staff. All Travel Suites are passed over with limited contact. All handoffs take place in outdoor settings. Orientation information is provided in advance and digital support is provided whenever possible.


Just as Roameo encourages guests to consider the impact they have on their natural surroundings, during any trip, we also encourage guests to consider the impact they may have on the people and communities they come in contact with. Many of Roameo’s destinations are in and around small communities; we are all responsible for helping maintain their health and safety when visiting. Smaller communities may have limited resources and ability to handle a COVID-19 outbreak. Be aware of your potential impact in each site you visit. We ask each guest to pick up items they bring in such as food, water, and gear, maintain a safe social distance when around others, and follow all guidelines established by Roameo partners and local governments.

Roameo partners with other travel companies that have their own COVID-19 polices. We trust our partners and work with organizations and businesses that maintain strict levels of safety for guests and their staff. If you wish to see a specific policy related to an activity or location on your itinerary Roameo staff can provide this upon request.
